2. Information, not advice
MAGHREB NOW publishes news, features, analysis and opinion about Morocco, the Maghreb and its global community. Everything we publish is for general information and journalistic purposes only.
Our content is not legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, immigration or any other kind of professional advice, and should not be used as a substitute for it. Before taking any decision that could affect your health, money, legal situation or rights, please consult a qualified professional who can take your personal circumstances into account. We are not responsible for decisions taken solely on the basis of information published on the Platform.
3. Accuracy and timeliness
We work hard to check our facts, use reliable sources and keep our reporting fair and accurate. However:
- news develops quickly, and information that was correct when published may change later;
- articles show their publication date, and older articles may no longer reflect the current situation;
- despite our care, errors can occur.
If you spot an error, please tell us through the contact page, choosing the topic “Editorial”. We will review it promptly and, where appropriate, correct the article and indicate that it has been corrected.
4. Opinion and analysis
Opinion pieces, columns, interviews and analysis express the views of their authors and the people interviewed. They are labelled as such and do not necessarily reflect the position of MAGHREB NOW. Publishing an opinion does not mean we endorse it.
5. Content published by members
Comments and other content published by members are the sole responsibility of their authors. MAGHREB NOW does not check all content before it is published and does not endorse the opinions expressed in it. In accordance with Article 16 of the LSSI-CE and Article 6 of the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065), we are not liable for that content as long as we do not have actual knowledge that it is illegal, and we act promptly to remove it or block access to it once we do. You can report content as explained in section 8 of our Terms of Service.
6. Use of artificial intelligence

We respect the intellectual property of others. Images and media published on the Platform are our own, used under licence, used with permission, or used within the limits allowed by law (such as quotation for news reporting), with credit to the author or source wherever possible. If you hold the rights to any material published on MAGHREB NOW and believe it is being used without authorisation, please write to info@maghrebnow.com with details of the work and proof of your rights, and we will review it and, if appropriate, remove it or add the correct credit without delay.
8. Links and embedded content
Our articles may contain links to other websites, or embedded content such as videos, maps or social media posts, to give context to our reporting. We select them with care, but we do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, security or privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse the website or its owner. In accordance with Article 17 of the LSSI-CE, if we become aware that a linked page contains illegal content, we will remove the link promptly.
9. Sponsored content and partnerships
At the date of this Disclaimer, MAGHREB NOW does not publish paid content. If in the future we publish sponsored content, advertising or affiliate links, they will be clearly identified as such, in accordance with Article 20 of the LSSI-CE and consumer protection law. 10. Availability and security of the website
We work to keep the Platform available and secure, but we cannot guarantee that it will be free of interruptions, errors or harmful components at all times. We use reasonable security measures, but you are responsible for having appropriate protection on your own devices, such as up-to-date software and antivirus. We are not liable for damage caused by interruptions or by malicious software that we could not reasonably prevent.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, MAGHREB NOW is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, the content of the Platform, from errors or omissions in it, or from the content of third-party websites. Nothing in this Disclaimer limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, or the rights you have as a consumer.
